Bottom line
The bottom line
The MIXX Next's seat lies flat, so it works from birth on its own. The Vista V3 needs a bassinet or SnugSeat for newborns, but it can grow into a double. Both carry a child up to 50 lb.
How do they handle the newborn months?
The MIXX Next seat reclines all the way flat. That means your newborn can ride in the seat itself. You can also add a bassinet or a Nuna PIPA car seat if you want one.
A newborn on the Vista V3 rides in a Bassinet, an Infant SnugSeat or a car seat at first. Its toddler seat is for babies 3 months and older. Each of those newborn parts is sold separately.
Which one fits your trunk and closet?
They fold into very different shapes. The MIXX Next folds long and low: 27.5 in long, 23.6 in wide and 19 in tall. The Vista V3 folds short and tall: 16.3 in long, 25.7 in wide and 33.8 in tall with the seat on. Both stand up once folded.
A low trunk or a spot under a shelf suits the MIXX Next. A tall hatch or a closet corner suits the Vista. Our trunk fit checker tries both against your own numbers.
Open, the MIXX Next measures 23.6 in across, against 25.7 in for the Vista.
Which car seats click on?
The Vista V3 takes UPPAbaby's own Mesa and Aria right on the frame. 26 more seats fit with UPPAbaby's adapters. They come from six brands: Chicco, Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Cybex, Clek and Joie. The MIXX Next fits Nuna's PIPA car seats. Its ring adapter comes in the box.

What happens when a second child comes?
The Vista V3 can carry 3 kids. Clip on a RumbleSeat, or put two bassinets or two car seats on the frame, and it's a double. Stand an older child on the PiggyBack board, and it carries a third. If a second baby is in your plans, that's the biggest reason to pick the Vista here.
How do they ride?
The MIXX Next has puncture-proof, foam-filled tires and suspension on all four wheels. The Vista V3 has never-flat tires, FlexRide suspension and a front wheel that locks for bumpy ground. Both seats face either way and hold a child up to 50 lb.
